Mental Health Resilience

Do the reports of the tough tech winter and constant layoffs scare you? Are you worried about your own career? Does the economy and the threat of recession have you concerned?

With the economy upending and unstable, now is the time to get your mental health in shape. The ability to face reality and all the feelings that will come are more important than ever. During an economic downturn now is the time to repair and strengthen your relationship. The stress of finances can often mean the end for fragile relationships who have ignored their issues.

Waiting until a crisis hits is one of the things people think therapy is for. In fact, if you wait too long to attend therapy it can often be too late because the amount of work that needs to be done in a crunch period can’t be done quickly. In the case where people are having very big crisis  All in the Family Counselling Centre does provide intensive retreats from seven to thirty days, in which people can get away and do intensive work on their relationship.

However, if this option is not available to you, it’s time to start working on yourself instead of putting it off. Address things now, before a crisis hits. Therapy does require a lot of work, it is uncomfortable and challenging but if you stick with it, do what the therapist says, you will be rewarded with mental health skills that help you to face the challenges of life, see things better coming so you can proactively take action as well as repairing strength in your relationships which leads to better financial stability, especially in an economic downturn.

All in the Family Counselling Centre has been providing therapy for the last twenty years in Singapore and Southeast Asia. Tammy Fontana, our lead therapist, is skilled at working with difficult cases and clients.
