Are you afraid to be alone?
Are you afraid to be alone? Do you find that you go from one relationship to the next relationship? Maybe you will even have committed infidelity or lined up a new partner before ending another partner just to avoid being alone. Does the fear of never finding somebody scare you and keeps you stuck in a bad or hurtful or harmful relationships?
The constant fear and anxiety of being alone, of not being good enough, of wondering whether somebody likes you can have many negative effects. One effect can be staying in a bad relationship too long. Another consequence can be having very dramatic and volatile relationships that are filled with lots of arguing and fighting. Another negative effect can be constantly monitoring, checking your partner seeing what they are doing and living in constant anxiety of whether the person likes you or not, still cares about you, or is there for you.
Living like this is lonely and not enjoyable. Often you cannot enjoy the relationships you have for very long. It is a very difficult way to live and filled with loneliness and fear.
Any one of these feelings is extremely paralyzing, distracts you from living a full life and may even interfere in developing into a fully rounded person that has interests and activities outside of their partnership.
Are you becoming aware of how these are very unhelpful to you? Have you had feedback from partners of friends, telling you they are worried about you and the volatility you have in your relationship.
