How to get over trust issues

How to get over trust issues

Are you somebody who identifies as having trust issues? Are trust issues undermining your relationship? Do you find it very hard to feel safe in a relationship? After a period of time, do you get overwhelmed by anxiety, wondering what your partner is doing, checking their WhatsApp messages, their Instagram and Facebook page? Have your trust issues caused massive fights and conflict? Are you tired of feeling insecure and lacking of safe feeling?

One of the problems for people who identify as having trust issues is that they often have very low self-esteem. They have a hard time understanding why somebody would be with them and would value them.

People with trust issues are often not knowing how to do healthy boundaries or process information that their partner is giving to them. You may operate under the idea that you want to create leverage in the relationship or you want to create dependency, or if the person doesn’t do what you say, you will withdraw and not talk to them.

You are trying your very best to create a sense of safety. Often it doesn’t work – when you tell your partner that the way they are behaving makes you feel unsafe or insecure, they get angry with you, they blame you and they call you crazy.

Are you wanting to learn how to build trust and be more effective in your relationship? Do you want to feel safer? All in the Family Counselling Centre Pte. Ltd. realises not everybody is ready for therapy.

We have created educational series to address issues of trust in your relationship. Trust is a gift we give to somebody and it comes from having good self-worth, healthy boundaries and being able to see what people are showing you in the face of your boundary. If you are not sure what boundaries mean or how they work, this is the educational series for you.

We provide thoughtfully taylored confidential education classes. We realize not everyone is ready for therapy. Visit our website to learn about these: https://www.allinthefamilycounselling.com/educational-group-work/

Our sessions are held online and are confidential. Most people are embarrassed, afraid or have a lot of stigma about reaching out for help or therapy. Our educational series are designed with this in mind to help people get the information they need. After the education series you guys have a choice to do individual or couple therapy or go to one of our Croatia retreats, to help further your experiences.
